Splinter cell double agent highly compressed pc game. I would love to see TotalBiscuit take Square-Enix to task over the Final Fantasy IV ports on PC, in the vein of this video. I think the battles are locked to 10 FPS, give or take a few. Because they ported the Android port of the fucking game. It's a shoddy port of a shoddy port. And people eat it up because they desperately hope if they buy enough shit that Square-Enix will release newer and better ported games to PC. Which they won't. If you show you're willing to buy trash, you'll keep getting trash.

Final Fantasy IV is actually Nintendo DS remake, which was ported to iOS/Android which was then ported to PC. Same thing with III. It should be at least somewhat obvious from steam screenshots, because of clearly visible polygons and low res textures., Because it was DS game originally, they at that point decided to bound stuff to frame rate and because DS 3D handling isn't that good, battles are locked to 15 FPS. At that point, they simply can't make it any better without redoing the game all over again. Releasing SNES version wouldn't have worked either. It's simply that there isn't any better version to port from.

I can't say anything about overall performance or mouse/keyboard controls, however it does seem to miss some key PC options as well though. EDIT: Also DotEmu. Just a quick note on DW8XL it does allow you to run the game at 60 without issues. Also in general it has very few issues and is probably one of the few working Koei ports. It is just that it is the PS3 version which is really, really, really stupid of them. Oh also the controller bindings are horrible by default and not the standard warriors set up. As such you have to go through each button and rebind them and it is a nightmare as you have to first go through each option and turn it blank as you can't rebind a button already in use.

Also side note, don't worry TB they are releasing One Piece Pirate Warriors on PC in August so we get to see another botched port then to. Agreed about DW8XL. I had no real issues with the port (not even the bindings because I adjusted quickly). And honestly, I didn't even know that it was the PS3 version and not PS4 until much later. I just noticed that it was 'console quality' graphics. On a further note, the PS4 version is a touched up port of the PS3 version. I believe the reason to port the PS3 version for the PC instead of waiting for the PS4 port was to get it out earlier.
