FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Thomas Gannon, 215.348.6461, A man who used his Bucks County residence as a base of operations for dealing heroin on the streets of Philadelphia was sentenced Monday to serve six to 12 years in state prison, followed by five years of probation. Luis Figueroa, 57, formerly of Holland, Pa., pleaded guilty before Bucks County President Judge Jeffrey L. Finley to three counts of delivering a controlled substance, and to one count of possession with intent to deliver heroin. At the time of his arrest in February 2015, Figueroa admitted to investigators that he had been working as a corner drug dealer in the Kensington section of Philadelphia for the previous six months.

Detectives found 25 bundles containing 361 bags of heroin inside Figueroa’s parked vehicle outside his residence in the 200 block of Ward Court in Holland. Figueroa pleaded guilty to selling drugs to a confidential informant in Philadelphia on Dec. 22, 2014; Jan. 13, 2015; and Jan. 29, 2015, for a total of $3,600. In the first transaction, Figueroa sold 17.5 grams of fentanyl for $1,350. In the second transaction, he sold 19.7 grams of heroin for $1,500.

In the third transaction, he sold 9.6 grams of heroin for $750. After the drug deals, he returned to his residence in Holland.

Figueroa, who has an extensive record of drug-, theft- and gun-related offenses dating to the early 1980s, told Finley that he sold the drugs to support his own drug addiction. He said his addiction was exacerbated by the death of his mother in December 2014, that he suffers from Hepatitis C and that he is in need of a liver transplant. Deputy District Attorney Thomas Gannon, who prosecuted the case, said that although the drug transactions took place in Philadelphia, Figueroa’s case was heard here in part because the offenses were discovered as part of a larger criminal investigation that originated in Bucks County. Finley sentenced Figueroa to serve three consecutive two- to four-year sentences for the drug transactions, followed by five years of consecutive probation for possession with intent to deliver heroin.

The judge said that Figueroa could serve his sentence in a therapeutic prison community, and ordered him to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation. Approved for release by Marc J. Dirty dancer mp4 video song free download for windows 7. Furber, Deputy District Attorney.
